Measuring GFP/RFP.

The Plant Explorer GFP/RFP is an automated, multispectral imaging system, used for the determination of biomass of GFP and RFP-transformed pathogens, combined with measurements of the photosynthetic activity and colour images to detect stress in the plant samples. Petri dishes, detached leaves and small plants can be measured in a single frame at high resolution (50x50 cm). Additionally, due to innovative design, it is possible to move your samples closer towards the camera, increasing the resolution based on your samples. Modified pathogens can be selectively imaged using GFP and/or RFP labelling, while also capturing the stress response of the plant with chlorophyll fluorescence technology, yielding the maximum quantum yield of Photosystem II (PSII) photochemistry (Fv/Fm).

This imaging system allows for early detection of pathogens and their interaction with the photosynthesis of the plant. GFP images are corrected for auto-fluorescence from senescing leaves. The system makes it possible to generate videos of your research, where the development of pathogens can be visualised. Due to the slim design, the Plant Explorer GFP/RFP can be moved closer to your samples.

Because of the turnkey delivery, you can start working with it right away. Analysis software is included in the system’s purchase. Click here for video examples of how this software can be used.

This system is also able to measure photosynthesis, colour, and multispectral parameters.
